The volunteer Staff of 35 firefighters and EMS personnel dedicate themselves to Provide the highest level of expertise and standard of care to over 13,000 people. The volunteer staff on average, dedicates over 1,200 hours in fire, emergency medical services, confined space, HazMat, auto extrication, and water rescue annually. Knoxville Fire Rescue Department responded to 95 fire calls and 1285 emergency medical services in 2008. The services provided by our professional firefighters and EMS personnel are highly dedicated and motivated individuals with a caring and friendly approach to all emergencies needs.

Knoxville Fire Rescue Department is dedicated to the preservation And protection of life and property from fire; the pursuance of Fire Prevention Activities; to provide assistance in Arson Investigation and Prosecution. The Abatement of Hazards dangerous to life, health, and safety. To provide the highest standard of care to those in emergency medical need with a caring, friendly, and professional manner.
